Media
I make regular media appearances in English, French and Italian. For France24’s The World This Week, I’ve discussed how governments have responded to Covid19, and the rise of Italy’s Matteo Salvini. For Italy's Propaganda Live, I offered an American view on Italy's 2018 national elections. On NPR’s All Things Considered, Mary Louise Kelly interviewed me on the “Americanization” of French sex scandals and for WNYC’s On the Media, I spoke about Italy going into lockdown.
My video interviews include, for The New York Times, Sultan Sooud Al-Qassemi on a collection of art from the Arab World at Paris’ Institut du Monde Arabe; Anne Baldassari, on an exhibit of French impressionist art from a famous Russian collection; and John Elderfield on an exhibit of Cézanne portraits at the Musée d’Orsay. I also contributed to a video to accompany my article on Italian hand gestures, and a video to accompany my article on Amalfi lemon growers.
